BARN QUILTS
Inspired by traditional fabric quilt patterns, these vibrant squares are a celebration of rural life, craftsmanship, and family heritage.
The modern barn quilt movement began in the early 2000s in Ohio as a way to honor family quilting traditions and beautify farm buildings. Since then, barn quilts have spread across the country, sparking a revival of folk art and giving rise to barn quilt trails—driving routes that guide visitors past quilt blocks displayed on homes, barns, and community buildings.
Each block often tells a story—about the land, the family who lives there, or local culture. Whether geometric, symbolic, or deeply personal, barn quilts connect us to something larger: a legacy of artistry passed down through generations.
Painting your own barn quilt is more than a craft—it's a creative tribute to history and heritage. Whether you hang it on a barn, porch, or living room wall, your barn quilt becomes part of a uniquely American tradition.
In this workshop, you’ll not only create your own piece of that story, but also learn about the history, techniques, and meaning behind this colorful art form.

PORCH LEANERS
Porch leaners are a modern twist on this tradition. Instead of a single square, you’ll paint a vertical panel divided into sections—each featuring its own quilt block. Framed and designed to lean against a wall or porch, these decorative pieces are perfect for seasonal displays, entryways, or as statement pieces indoors or out.
Our porch leaners are even double-sided, so you can flip them with the seasons. Add a chalkboard panel for festive messages or seasonal greetings.
This project is more than just crafting—it’s about expressing yourself through color, connecting with a creative tradition, and making something uniquely yours.
Whether you’re drawn to Americana, farmhouse charm, or just want to spend a relaxing afternoon painting—barn quilt porch leaners are a creative and meaningful way to decorate your space.
